I hope that you and your loved ones are having a blessed holiday season. If you are part of those of us that tend to shift towards sadness during this season, please know that I understand and I hope that you reach out to those that care and love you so that you can get reminded that you are not alone and that you are loved. Looking at your new years yoga resolutions it is important to keep the heart of the matter at the forefront.
Ok, so 2022 is around the corner and lots of people are skeptical whether this year is going to be good or not. Granted, I understand their fear because these past two years have been a challenge for many of us. Above is a short video about Resolutions vs Intentions. If you are a resolutions person…Great! keep at it and I will be your biggest yoga new years resolutions cheerleader, but for me, I’m a total loser when it comes to accomplishing any resolutions and I say this with so much humor cause it’s just funny at this point.
That’s why I gravitate towards a more loving and kind way of working on myself and working towards my goals with intentions. Life happens. Things change. Sometimes we are forced to shift or pivot and this is why intentions are so beautiful because they can shift and pivot along with whatever journey you are on. Whatever intention you set for yourself, let it be practical and something that you know in your heart you are needing from a place of truth versus vanity or ego.
I wish all of you a very happy New Years and may you be blessed beyond measure.
hugs and best wishes for a mindful New Year in 2022-
